Really on a roll with my lion sketches! Cleaned this one up, felt like it needed some more love

Been so focused on making vector art lately that I have become rather rusty with my digital painting. After seeing so many up on my social media feeds I've been inspired to try my hand at them again. I wanted to post my progress with a concept I wanted to devote to my spirit animal! After much guided mediation, it came to my discovery that my spirit animal is a lion! Funny enough, I've had a lot of Leos in my life that have played a large role in who I am today. Whether they were the ones I went for advice, so someone I fell in love with, I can't help but see that I am protected by lions. I'm open for critiques and would love to grow in this skill. I will post as I progress.
Rough sketch, laying out composition and key characters.
Fleshing out foreground characters and adding in the leaves I wanted to flow in the wind
Establishing some lighting and textures in the foreground and lighting. Going to be stepping towards a stylized feel with the textures. and adjusted the girl's pose so I don't hide her hands. Though I still need to work on her lighting as well as the lion.

After getting a rad new laptop, I couldn't help but start playing with my new techie toy. After installing my programs and getting used to Windows 8, which by the way makes me feel like a cave woman, I just had to dive in and make some art dammnit! Being that I love fashion, including some of that funky new wave 80s circa designs out there, I was inspired to make something of that genre. This manifested after a recent compliment when I went out today. I do enjoy the way I dress, but its even sweeter when I have someone compliment me. So here we are folks, me trying to look fashionable and cool. Below is the reference picture I used to make this 80s vomit. Hope you guys think it's rad!

Good Gracey! So as many of you that know me, I am a huge fan of jazz and swing music. With the new swinghouse and boomswing genres that have manifested over the course of the past 10-15 years or so, and the Great Gasby coming out on DVD and BluRay today, I have been wanting to make a series of swingy stuff. Cookin' up some sketches and out came Gracey! Just a sketch of course, and maybe a work in progress, who knows! Just thought I would share something that has taken me in full swing! Can't let go of these dancing shoes and I wanna dance them out of town. This ain't just the stuff you listen to on the radio, ya dig? Swing it brothers and sisters, I will update with more work as I progress.
